New Q bot

As you may have noticed, QuakeNet introduced a new version of the Q bot (and removed L) on Tuesday. This has caused the Q scripts in NoNameScript 4.2 to stop working.

We have already managed to change our Q scripts to be compatible with the new version of the Q bot. It just needs a little bit of testing before we release it (along with some other improvements and bugfixes) as version 4.21 in a few days.

Status update

Ok, here's a small new year status update.

We are very pleased with NoNameScript 4.2 right now. There haven't been any nasty bugs and the script is performing well.
Development is - of course - going on, though. We will likely be doing a small bugfix release soon to fix some minor annoyances.

So, we are currently trying to come up with new ideas to put in the script, and we also want you to take part in this process. You can submit your ideas in the suggestion forum. Even if we can't reply to every single post in the forum, I promise that your suggestions will be read and evaluated.
User input has always been very important in the development of NoNameScript, and we look forward to every post you make.

NoNameScript 4.2 updated Installer released

NoNameScript 4.2

Nope, no reason to panic. On popular demand we changed the installer a bit for your convenience.

You are now able to choose the directory where you want NNScript 4.2 to be installed to, instead of auto installing it in the appdata user-dir. But be sure to run NNScript via the shortcut if the NNScript folder differs from the mirc one. You can only start NNScript via mirc.exe if NNScript is directly in the mirc folder. Make sure that you have write permission in the folder you install NNScript to - especially on Vista.

The updater (4.1 to 4.2)  now can only be installed in the directory where NNScript 4.1 is.

If you already have 4.2 installed and running there is NO NEED to redownload it. Everything is fine.

NoNameScript 4.2 released

NoNameScript 4.2

NoNameScript 4.2 has just been released.

If you want to see what's new, check out the change log.

There is both a full installer and an update - here's a small tutorial on how you can update version 4.1 to 4.2:

  1. Download mIRC 6.31 from the downloads page on this site.
  2. Install mIRC 6.31 into your NoNameScript 4.1 directory. When asked, make sure the "Keep current mIRC settings" checkbox is checked!
  3. Download the NoNameScript 4.1 to 4.2 updater from the downloads page.
  4. Install the update into your current NoNameScript 4.1 folder.
  5. Launch NoNameScript 4.2 through your new start menu entry. The script will do the rest.

Have fun with the new version!

T-Shirt Contest Winner and 4.2 Update
So, with a bit of the usual delay, here it finally comes:

He received a total of 331 votes. stARNix came second and third with t-shirt #3 (174) and #10 (157).



The shirt will be, amongst some other items, obtainable in the regroup webshop soon.

Thanks to all participants, you did a really great job! We most likely will launch another contest in one year, so be prepared.

Here's a little update on the upcoming version:
We changed so many things the next release will be named 4.2 instead of 4.11 since its way more than a bugfix update. Don't believe it? Check the changelog!
We internally released a release candidate, so the waiting might be over very soon. Most likely we will announce a release date this week on the page.
